Compatibility is limited to MacBook Pro 15 inch with Touch Bar model A1990 from 2018 and 2019, including emc 3215 and emc 3359. It is not compatible with A1707 2016–2017 or A2141 16 inch 2019. Contents include the complete display assembly with lcd, glass, lid, hinges, antenna pair,, ambient light sensor, clutch cover, and display flex cables. Items not included are the top case, logic board, speakers, screws, and any base assembly parts.
Installation is straightforward for experienced technicians. Always disconnect the battery before unplugging or connecting the display flex to avoid backlight damage. Remove torque screws evenly to prevent hinge distortion and route antenna leads and flexes exactly as original to avoid pinch points near the clutch. After reassembly, perform an nvram reset, enable True Tone in system settings if available, and run a pixel, brightness, and camera check. Final quality control should verify lid alignment, uniform backlight, color tint neutrality on a white screen, and wake on open behavior.
